BREAKING O.J. NEWS CONTINUES

♠ September 14th, 2007 by ♣

Metro Police says that it will hold its press conference at 10:30am

It’s now being alleged that O.J. Simpson was one of a total of 6 men who burst into the hotel room – and two of the group brandished guns. A guest at the Palace Station called 911 to report that Simpson and his group had taken all of his sports memorabilia and his cell-phone during the “robbery incident.” The guest claims that he had Simpson’s suit from the day of his LA court acquittal in another room and has passed that to police authorities.

STILL DEVELOPING

O.J. SIMPSON: BREAKING NEWS

♠ September 14th, 2007 by ♣

No sooner did disgraced Hall of Fame footballer O.J. Simpson arrive in Vegas – as Luxe Life reported yesterday – than he’s stage center in a Vegas police investigation. The one-time actor accused of killing his wife, Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman was being questioned early today (FRI) after a burglary at the Palace Station Casino.

Police officers confirmed early this morning (FRI) that the Juice is being investigated for robbery – however as of 7am he was not yet in police custody. Several other people have been questioned and a news conference is expected to be held later this morning to disclose any arrests that might be made.

Both Fox News affiliate KVVU-TV and the TMZ website have subsequently reported that hotel sources confirmed to Metro Police that Simpson was seen at the hotel last night (THURS). The previous evening he had been spotted after arriving in Vegas at the Palms resort’s Playboy Club and Ghostbar.

Ironically yesterday (THURS) marked the release by the Goldman family of the O.J. Simpson ghostwritten book If I Did It in which he hypothecates what did go on at the crime-scene blaming a “friend” called “Charlie” for the actual murders. Detective Mark Furhman who was one of the original LA murder investigators said last night (THURS) on Fox News: “Simpson places himself right at the murder scene in his own words. There never was any evidence of anybody else there. There never was a Charlie as he writes.”

BREAKING NEWS CONTINUES…

*It’s believed that O.J. has told police that the sports memorabilia had been stolen from him in Florida and brought to Vegas to be auctioned – and that he went to the hotel with several friends to retrieve his property and prevent them from being sold. One person in the hotel room allegedly has told police “OJ did not break into the room. No weapons or violence were involved although it did become very, very heated.”

*Police spokesman Jose Montoya officially confirmed that Simpson was questioned about a hotel room break-in at the Palace Station casino. Montoya said the theft involved sports memorabilia.

*O.J. Simpson was supposed to give a deposition today (FRI) in Miami in a bankruptcy case involving his eldest daughter but it was canceled, because Simpson had told attorneys that he would be out of town, officials said.

*Our local FOX5 TV news interviewed Thomas Riccio who works for Universal Rarities, an auction house based in California. He claims to have witnessed the incident that sparked the burglary allegations. Riccio said that a customer had contacted him recently and said he had personal items that had belonged to O.J. Simpson. Riccio told FOX 5: “The customer claimed to have confiscated the items from Simpson because Simpson owed them money. Simpson, perhaps believing the items were still rightfully his own, walked into the hotel room at Palace Station along with several other people and reclaimed the items in question.” Riccio added that Simpson did not use force when entering the room and was unarmed, and never acted violently during the ordeal.

BRITNEY SPEARS: BREAKING NEWS

♠ September 14th, 2007 by ♣

Producers of this coming Sunday’s EMMY awards have invited troubled pop-singer Britney Spears to appear on their show. It’s not expected that Britney would perform but discussion has centered around her using the opportunity of a national TV appearance to make some kind of an apology: a statement of contrition about her messy performance at last weekend’s MTV Video Music Awards here in Vegas. Britney’s camp has acknowledged the offer but no decision yet about how such an appearance would be staged.

Luxe Life will monitor both of these DEVELOPING STORIES!

Palace Station Las Vegas

Back in the news (if he ever left) is O.J. Simpson, who’s in town for an unknown reason.

Simpson was expected to give a deposition today regarding the bankruptcy of his daughter in Miami, but he changed his plans, telling his people he wouldn’t be able to make it because he would be out of town.

Last night, a room containing sports memorabilia was broken into at Palace Station, and Simpson was one of the people questioned about the burglary.

He was later released and not arrested but is expected to stay in Las Vegas for the time being.
