Beverly Hills Police Book Lindsay Lohan - Her New Movie Shelved?

Four-days after partying last weekend at PURE nightclub in Caesars Palace, actress Llndsay Lohan, accompanied by her attorney, surrendered herself to the Beverly Hllls Police Department. A spokesman for the police department confirmed: “At approximately 4:I5 p.m. yesterday afternoon (Thursday) Lindsay was booked at the Beverly Hills Jail ae a result of her actions related to the traffic accldent that occurred on May 26, 2OO7 within the City of Beverly Hills. Ms. Lohan was charged with California Vehicle Code Sections 23152 (al tt (b) Driving under the influence with a blood alcohol levelgreater than .08, ard Callfornia Vehicle Code Sectlon 2OOO2 (a) (Misdemeanor Hit and Run). The booking process was completed without inctdent and Ms. Lohan was released on her own recognizance wlth a returnlng court date of August 24, 2007 to the Bererly Hills Strperior Court.”

Meantime this morning some of the crew of Lindsay’s next-planned movie with Shirley McLaine titled “Poor Things” are complaining that its cancellation this week came about because of Lindsay’s Vegas visit last weekend. Both the NYPost and TMZ are reporting this morning that an email has been circulated blaming the demise of the movie on the fact that completion-bond companies can’t be found to issue the necessary insurance on Liondsay because of her return to Vegas after her recent rehab stay in Malibu. Lindsay’s reps snap back “untrue” blaming the film’s cancellation on the producers’ fiscal irresponsibilities.

Students at the Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy submitted hundreds of entries to my friend, artist Peter Max at his Gallery in Caesars Palace. My dear friend Inga who played my game-show host on our VH1 Fame Game series joined him in presenting each of the winners with autographed limited edition artwork and posters.

The winners were:
Lower School Division Winner: Brittany Law (4th Grade), and Runner-up Jayanna Jones (2nd Grade).
Middle School Division Winner: Briana Guillory (7th Grade), and Runner-up Jasmine Spurlock (6th Grade).
High School Division Winner: Jasmine Smith, and Runner-up Bre’ahn Williams (both 10th Grade).

The gallery also displayed the winning entries alongside Peter’s works, making the children the only artists other than Max to be displayed in The Art of Peter Max Gallery. Peter will be back for a personal appearance in the gallery this coming Thanksgiving.
